Applying for a new job takes time, energy and a fair amount of guesswork. We'd like to remove as much of the guesswork as we can. This article walks you through every step of our hiring process, what we look for at each stage and how long things usually take.

The short version: five steps, usually two to four weeks from application to offer, and a recruiter from our Talent Acquisition team who keeps you informed from start to finish.

Why we keep the process simple

A good hiring process should feel like a preview of working together. That means clear communication, respect for your time and a fair assessment of the skills that actually matter for the role. We would rather hold fewer, better conversations than put you through endless rounds.

It also means consistency. Candidates for the same role go through the same steps, discuss comparable questions and are assessed against criteria we agree before interviews begin. It's one of the simplest ways to keep decisions fair and reduce bias.

Step 1: Apply

Apply through any vacancy page, or send an open application from our careers page if you don't see the right role yet. You'll need your CV and a few basic details. A cover letter is optional, but a few lines about why the role interests you help us a lot.

Our Talent team reviews every application, and we aim to reply within 10 working days, whatever the outcome.

Step 2: Intro call with Talent

This is a 20–30 minute video call with a recruiter. We'll talk about your experience, what you're looking for next, your notice period and your expectations, including salary. It's also your chance to ask anything about the role, the team and how we work.

There are no trick questions at this stage. We simply want to check that the role matches your goals and that the basics line up, so neither of us loses time later.

Step 3: Skills interview or task

Next, you'll meet the people you would actually work with. Depending on the role, this is a 60–90 minute skills interview or a short practical task followed by a discussion of your approach.

  • Engineers usually work through a realistic technical problem, discuss system design trade-offs or review a piece of code together.
  • Traders and analysts tackle scenarios such as reacting to a change during a live event, spotting an unusual pattern or interpreting a data set.
  • Product, marketing and support specialists walk us through past work, then explore a realistic case from our day-to-day.

If we ask for a take-home task, we keep it under three hours and tell you up front how it will be assessed. Your work is used only to evaluate your application.

Step 4: Final interview

The final interview usually lasts 45–60 minutes and brings together the hiring manager and a senior leader from the department. The focus is on how you work: ownership, collaboration, handling disagreement and the kind of environment in which you do your best work.

It's also the right moment to ask the questions that matter most to you. How does the team measure success? What would your first six months look like? Where could the role grow?

Step 5: Offer

If it's a match, we aim to share an offer within three working days of the final interview. Your recruiter will walk you through the package, answer your questions and help you plan a smooth start. If it isn't a match, we'll tell you clearly and explain why.

What we look for at every stage

Skills differ from role to role, but a few qualities matter everywhere at Pro1bet:

  1. Ownership. You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.
  2. Clear communication. A lot of our collaboration happens remotely and in writing, so clarity counts.
  3. Curiosity. You ask good questions and learn quickly from data and feedback.
  4. Integrity. You're honest about what you know, what you don't and what went wrong.
  5. Care for customers. You understand that a premium product depends on trust.
We don't expect perfect answers. We want to understand how you think, how you work with others and how you learn.

Feedback, whatever the outcome

Everyone who interviews with us receives personal feedback from their recruiter. It may not always be what you hoped to hear, but we make it specific enough to be useful for your next step, with us or elsewhere.
